True Life Stories
Sabu lives in our project area in the development block of Sahaspur in the district of Dehradun. She belongs to sapera( snake catcher )community. She was going for rag picking and during Saturday goes for begging in the name of Saturn god (collecting offering in the name of god). When the organization met her parents and convinces them the value of education and bright future of their child. Then the parents took right decision to send her to school. Today sabu is very happy and willing to be a teacher to eradicate illiteracy from her community.
Akash lives 25 km from Dehradun city. He belongs to Sapera Community. He used to go for rag picking. His whole family was involved in the same work. When the organization contacted his parents and convinced them about the need of education, his parents were happy to sent him school. Today Akash is studying 4th Standard. He want to be doctor in future, so that he can serve his community for better living standard.
